Anointed

Although anointing might occur in many different circumstances the general meaning tends to be consistent, whomever is anointed is dedicated to the service of and obedience to God. The Bible makes clear from the outset that God alone is King of Israel. God defeats the forces of chaos and establishes creation; thus God has "made the world firm, not to be moved". Psalms 89:12,13; 93:3,4. By such divine actions, God's rule is established, a rule of peace and life. Psalms 29:10,11; 89:10,11; 93:3,4, characterized above all by "justice and judgment" which are "the foundation of his throne". Psalms 89:15; 97:1,2; 99:4. And this same God, who is King of all creation, is also King, Jehovah his God is with him, And the loud hailing of a king is in his midst. Numbers 23:21. The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom YOU slew, hanging him upon a tree. God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler." Acts 5:30-32

You may have heard or read a statement such as this: "The Jewish people at the time of Jesus were eagerly expecting a messiah who would throw out the Romans and reestablish the house of David." To save them and live on earth. While such remarks are fairly common, more recent study of the writings that survive from this period indicates that the situation was considerably more complex. Some did expect such a messiah; others, however, thought that a heavenly figure of some kind would bring in God's kingdom; still others expected several endtime figures: an anointed king, an anointed priest, as well as a prophetic figure; still others did not expect anything soon. The early followers of Jesus of Nazareth saw in him the fulfillment of God's promise to David. He brought in God's kingdom of peace, justice and love. And it was precisely this faith, that Jesus was the Messiah, the Christ (christos occurs over 350 times in the New Testament, that gave them a name: Christians, Acts 11:26. They firmly believed that Jesus was the Son of David. Romans 1:3; Luke 1:31-32, from the city of David, Bethlehem. Luke 2:4; 1 Samuel 16:1-13; Micah 5:1-4. In Luke's Gospel, when Jesus begins his public ministry, he reads in the synagogue and comments on a passage from the book of Isaiah: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor" Isaiah 61:1-2; Luke 4:18. In its original context, the passage refers to the anointing of the prophet, but the figure of the promised Messiah, the kingly anointed one, is also implied in Jesus' usage of the text. Bringing relief to the poor, to captives and to the oppressed is part of the traditional work of the king. This was, in a way, part of the job description of the Davidic king. Later, when John the Baptist, from prison, sends some followers to question Jesus, Jesus points to this same concern as evidence of his mission. Luke 7:18-23; Matthew 11:2-6. Jesus' ministry was one of proclaiming the kingdom of God in both word and action; his miracles of healing were signs of God's compassion. At the end of his life, as he entered Jerusalem, he was acclaimed king: "Hosanna to the Son of David!". Matthew 2:1-11. Before Pilate, much of the discussion centered on the issue of kingship. John 18:28-19:16, and Jesus clarifies that his kingship is different. John 18:36. He was crucified under the inscription, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews". John 19:19. There was nothing in the Jewish Scriptures to prepare for the idea that the Messiah, the son of David, would be put to death. The early Christians explained this by combining, with the royal figure of the Messiah, a figure originally quite distinct, a suffering servant. Isaiah 52:13;—53:12 . When Peter acknowledges that Jesus is the Messiah, Jesus immediately qualifies this in the direction of suffering service to others. Mark 8:27-33. The early Christians affirmed further that this Jesus, the Messiah/Christ, will come again at the end of age to bring in the fullness of God's kingdom, and when that happens, then he will come in power and glory. (e.g., Mt 24:29-31; Mr 13:24-27), and all creation will acknowledge his kingship. For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Philemon 2:9-11
Which means that they are made spiritually pure, a necessary condition for the service of Jehovah God.The NT Greek words for anoint is "chrio" which means "to smear or rub with oil, and by implication to consecrate" and "aleipho" which means "to anoint." Serve Jehovah with fear And be joyful with trembling. Kiss the son, that He may not become incensed And YOU may not perish [from] the way, For his anger flares up easily. Happy are all those taking refuge in him. Ps 2:11,2

In Bible times, people were anointed with oil to signify God’s blessing or a call on that person’s life. Ex 29:7; Ex 40:9; 2 Ki 9:6; Ec 9:8; A person was anointed for a special purpose; to be a king, or a prophet. Another meaning for the word "anointed" is "chosen one, or one's" Mt 22:14;Jas 5:14. Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility] Who, although being essentially One with the Father God] and in the form of God possessing the fullness of the wisdom of God], did not think himself equal to God, But stripped himself [of all privileges], so he emptied himself out into a slaves form , in that he became in the likeness of men. Php 2:5-7

Jesus Christ was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit to spread the Good News and free those who have been held captive by sin, Lu 4:18-19, Ac 10:38. Before Christ left the earth he said "If YOU love me, YOU will observe my commandments; and I will request the Father and he will give YOU another helper to be with YOU forever, the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU. Joh 14:16,17

Those that are anointed, chosen for a specific purpose in furthering God's Kingdom, 1 Joh 2:20. But he who guarantees that YOU and we belong to Christ and he who has anointed us is God. He has also put his seal upon us and has given us the token of what is to come, that is, the spirit, in our hearts. As for YOU, let that which YOU have heard from [the] beginning remain in YOU. If that which YOU have heard from [the] beginning remains in YOU, YOU will also abide in union with the Son and in union with the Father. Furthermore, this is the promised thing that he himself promised us, the life everlasting. These things I write YOU about those who are trying to mislead YOU. And as for YOU, the anointing that YOU received from him remains in YOU,and YOU do not need anyone to be teaching YOU; but, as the anointing from him is teaching YOU about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught YOU, remain in union with him. 1 Jo 2:24-27

There is no one holy like Jehovah, for there is no one but you; And there is no Rock like our God. As for Jehovah, those contending against him will be terrified; Against them he will thunder in the heavens. Jehovah himself will judge the ends of the earth, That he may give strength to his king,That he may exalt the horn of his anointed one." 1 Sa 2:2,10. [Saying,] ‘Do not YOU men touch my anointed ones, And to my prophets do nothing bad.’ 1 Ch 16:22

Now I do know that Jehovah certainly saves his anointed one. He answers him from his holy heavens With the saving mighty acts of his right hand. For you proceeded to meet him with blessings of good, [And] to place on his head a crown of refined gold. Life he asked of you. You gave [it] to him, Length of days to time indefinite, even forever. His glory is great in your salvation. Dignity and splendor you putupon him. For you constitute him highly blessed forever; You make him feel glad with the rejoicing at your face. For the king is trusting in Jehovah, Even in the loving-kindness of the Most High. He will not be caused to totter. Your hand will find all your enemies, Your own right hand will find those hating you. You will constitute them asa fiery furnace at the appointed time for your attention. Ps 21:3-9. Jehovah is a strength to his people, And he is a stronghold of the grand salvation of his anointed one. Ps 20:6; 28:8; Isa 64:8,9

"And you, O Beth´le·hem Eph´ra·thah, the one too little to get to be among the thousands of Judah, from you there will come out to me the one who is to become ruler in Israel, whose origin is from early times, from the days of time indefinite.
"Therefore he will give them up until the time that she who is giving birth actually gives birth. And the rest of his brothers will return to the sons of Israel."And he will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah his God. Mic 5:2-4

But he who guarantees that YOU and we belong to Christ and he who has anointed us is God. Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear. 2 Co 1:21; 7:1. Paul wrote to the Philippians saying that he did not consider himself as having laid hold on the prize, but he was pursuing the upward call to see if he might attain it. However, several years later Paul wrote to Timothy saying that he felt he had as good as received his reward. In other words he had been sealed. 2 Ti 4:6-8

These are the righteous purposes of Jehovah God. If you suppose that the "things in the heavens" are angels, you would have to explain why Christ would need to gather angels to himself. No, "the things in the heavens" actually refers to the anointed; even while they are on the earth. That is made apparent by Paul, where he says at Eph 2:6: "And he raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in union with Christ Jesus, that in the coming systems of things there might be demonstrated the surpassing riches of his undeserved kindness inhis graciousness toward us in union with Christ Jesus.

"The apostle recognized that both desirable and undesirable things were part of the anointed congregation or kingdom of Christ and both the inferior materials and the precious metals and stones would coexist, until the day of fire would put each one to the test. "Let the one who has an ear hear what the spirit says to the congregations." Not coincidently, Jesus concluded his illustration of the wheat and the weeds with a similar admonition, saying: "Let him that has ears listen." Mt 11:15
Christ
Anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word rendered "Messiah" the official title of our Lord, occurring five hundred and fourteen times in the NT. It denotes that he was anointed to his great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and king of his people. Isa 9:6

He is Jesus the Christ. Ac 17:3; 18:5; Mt 22:42, the Anointed One. He is thus spoken of by Isa 61:1, and by Da 9:24-26, who styles him "Messiah the Prince." Isa 9:6. The Messiah is the same person as "the seed of the woman " Ge 3:15, "the seed of Abraham" Ge 22:18, the "Prophet like unto Moses" De 18:15, "the priest in the order of Melchizedek" Ps 110:4, "the rod out of the stem of Jesse" Isa 11:1, 10, the "Immanuel," the virgin's son, Isa 7:14, "the branch of Jehovah " Isa 4:2, and "the messenger of the covenant" Mal 3:1
This is he "of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write." The OT Scriptures are full of prophetic declarations regarding Jehovah sending into the world His Son as a Great deliverer and the work he was to accomplish. The Anointed One, the saviour of men. Now Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Gal´i·lee. So the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed him, and he opened the scroll and found the place where it was written: "Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor, he sent me forth to preach a release to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away with a release, to preach Jehovah’s acceptable year." With that he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were intently fixed upon him. Then he started to say to them: "Today this scripture that YOU just heard is fulfilled." Lu 4:14-21; Heb 5:4 Isa 11:2-4; 49:6; Joh 5:37; Ac 2:22

To believe that "Jesus is the Christ" is to believe that he is the Anointed, the Messiah of the prophets, the saviour sent of God, that he was, in a word, what he claimed to be. This is to believe the gospel, by the faith of which alone mankind can be brought unto God. That Jesus is the Christ is the testimony of God, and the faith of this constitutes a Christian. 1 Co 12:3; 1 Jo 5:1

Paul, explained why God gave the nation of Israel the Law, including the Ten Commandments. He said that the Law was a "tutor leading to Christ," but that Christ was the end of the Law. Jesus kept the Law, perfectly. He was the only Jew who did. The new covenant has now replaced the old covenant. The new covenant is between Jehovah and his anointed. Instead of having to obey a Law code written on two tablets of stone, like the Ten Commandments were, the laws of the new covenant are written upon the hearts of those who are in the new covenant.

Messiah

Heb. mashiah, in all the thirty-nine instances of its occurring in the OT, is rendered "Christos." It means anointed. Ex 28:41; 40:15; Nu 3:3, prophets, 1 Ki 19:16, and kings, 1 Sa 9:16; 16:3; 2 Sa 12:7, were anointed with oil. The Messiah is anointed "above his fellows" Ps 45:7, The Greek form "Messias" is only twice used in the NT, in Joh 1:41 ; 4:25 "Messiah", and in the OT the word Messiah, as the rendering of the Hebrew, occurs only twice Da 9:25, 26; "the anointed one".

The first great promise Ge 3:15 contains in it the essence of all the prophecies recorded in the OT regarding the coming of the Messiah and the faithful work he was to accomplish on earth. The prophecies became more definite and fuller as the ages rolled on; the light shone more and more unto the perfect day. Different periods of prophetic revelation have been pointed out, period of David, of the prophets whose works form apart of the OT. "In him all these ancient prophecies have their fulfilment. Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah, the great deliverer who was to come. Mt 26:54; Mr 9:12; Lu 18:31; 22:37; Joh 5:39; Ac 2; 16:31; 26:22, 23

Christ means "anointed one." The question is: when was Jesus anointed? At his birth? No, he was anointed by God's holy spirit on the occasion of his baptism, when he was 30 years of age. That is when he became the Messiah, or Christ. In fact, Jesus made a public announcement that he had become the Christ. Shortly after his baptism,
Jesus stood up in the synagogue and read from the scroll of Isaiah the passage that reads: "Jehovah's spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor "

Consider the fact that when Jesus was baptized he was also anointed thus becoming the king designate. Six months after becoming the Messiah Jesus went to Jerusalem and threw the money-changers from his Father’s temple. So, during his three and one half year ministry Jesus was given the kingdom of David. Upon his baptism when the Psalm applied: ‘Ask of me that I may give you kingdoms’. During that 42 month period Jesus ministered to his disciples and prepared them for the hardships ahead. Finally, Jesus subdued his religious enemies and triumphed over the world at his death. Jehovah showed that he had given judgment in favor of Christ by resurrecting him from the dead.

But why did the angel say that the infant was the Christ? Mt 1:20,21 It has to do with the fact that Jehovah calls the things that are not as though they were. That is evident throughout prophecy. The Hebrew prophecies God speaks matter-of-factly about Jesus' death, resurrection and his rulingthe heavenly kingdom long before Christ even came to the earth. Even though Jesus was a free moral agent and could have chosen not to obey God's Will for him, Jehovah expressed his supreme confidence that his purpose would succeed and that his son would never betray him. Isaiah 7:9 bluntly states: "Unless you people have faith, you will in that case not be of long duration."

The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham might come to be by means of Jesus Christ for the nations, that we might receive the promised spirit through our faith in union as One with Father and Son. So that the Law served [to us Jews] as our trainer, our guide to Christ, to [lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith. But now that the faith has come, we are no longer under a the law.

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union] with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ. And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise. Ga 3:24-29

Was God's Son Jesus' voice heard?

John 10:27 NIV..

John the baptist while in prison, asks Jesus' apostles to ask Jesus. "Are you the Coming One, or are we to expect a different one?"

In reply Jesus said to them: "Go YOUR way and report to John what YOU are hearing and seeing: The blind are seeing again, and the lame are walking about, the lepers are being cleansed and the deaf are hearing, and the dead are being raised up, and the poor are having the good news declared to them; and happy is he that finds no cause for stumbling in me."Truly I say to YOU people, Among those born of women there has not been raised up a greater than John the Baptist; but a person that is a lesser one in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he is. But from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward which men press, and those pressing forward are seizing it.

For all, the Prophets and the Law, prophesied until John; and if YOU want to accept it, He himself is ‘E·li´jah who is destined to come.’

Let him that has ears listen.

Then he started to reproach the cities in which most of his powerful works had taken place, because they did not repent: "Woe to you, Cho·ra´zin! Woe to you, Beth·sa´i·da! because if the powerful works had taken place in Tyre and Si´don that took place in YOU, they would long ago have repented in sackcloth and ashes. Consequently I say to YOU, It will be more endurable for Tyre and Si´don on Judgment Day than for YOU. And you, Ca·per´na·um, will you perhaps be exalted to heaven? Down to Ha´des you will come; because if the powerful works that took place in you had taken place in Sod´om, it would have remained until this very day. Consequently I say to YOU people, It will be more endurable for the land of Sod´om on Judgment Day than for you."

At that time Jesus said in response: "I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to babes. Yes, O Father, because to do thus came to be the way approved by you. All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son but the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father but the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him. Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. Mt 11:3-6,11-15,20-25-29

For my yoke is kindly and my load is light." Heed Jesus' voice! People are YOU listening? Jesus voicing at the religious zealots of his day. The Pharisee's of the world today, who convinced the Jew's to go against Jesus.

"Either YOU people make the tree fine and its fruit fine or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for by its fruit the tree is known. Offspring of vipers, how can YOU speak good things, when YOU are wicked? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man out of his good treasure sends out good things, whereas the wicked man out of his wicked treasure sends out wicked things. I tell YOU that every unprofitable saying that men speak, they will render an account concerning it on Judgment Day; for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned."

Then as an answer to him some of the scribes and Pharisees said: "Teacher, we want to see a sign from you." In reply he said to them: "A wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for asign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jo´nah the prophet. For just as Jo´nah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Mt 12:33-40

People thence and now, can't seem to fathom how Jesus knew he was going to die, well people Jesus is Godlike, but he is not God. Get the message hear MY voice and the voice of MY only true brother Lord Jesus? Why would Jesus' Father if he were God say listen to my Son's Voice?

Six days later Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother along and brought them up into a lofty mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his outer garments became brilliant as the light. And, look! there appeared to them Moses and E·li´jah, conversing with him. Responsively Peter said to Jesus: "Lord, it is fine for us to be here. If you wish, I will erect three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for E·li´jah." While he was yet speaking, look! a bright cloud over shadowed them, and, look! a voice out of the cloud, saying: "This is MY Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him. Mt 17:1-3

David himself calls him ‘Lord,’ but how does it come that he is his son?"

And the great crowd was listening to him with pleasure. And in his teaching he went on to say: "Look out for the scribes that want to walk around in robes and want greetings in the market places and front seats in the synagogues and most prominent places at evening meals. They are the ones devouring the houses of the widows and for a pretext making long prayers; these will receive a heavier judgment." "He that listens to YOU listens to me [too]. And he that disregards YOU disregards me [too]. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards [also] him that sent me forth." Mr 12:37-40; Lu 10:16

Jesus didn't come of his own initiative.

When the world began, the Word was already there. The Word was with God, and the nature of the Word was the nature of God. The Word was there in the beginning with God. It was through the agency of the Word that everything else came into being. Without the Word not one single thing came into being. John 1:1-3

Like..Father like Son?..VOICE! Share the truth.

"Most truly I say to YOU, The hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have given heed will live. For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 5:25-30

They did not grasp that he was talking to them about the Father. Therefore Jesus said: "When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him." As he was speaking these things, many put faith in him. Because I, on the other hand, tell the truth, YOU do not believe me. Who of YOU convicts me of sin? If I speak truth, why is it YOU do not believe me? He that is from God listens to the sayings of God. This is why YOU do not listen, because YOU are not from God." Joh 8:27-30,45-47

Therefore some of the Pharisees began to say: "This is not a man from God, because he does not observe the Sabbath." Others began to say: "How can a man that is a sinner perform signs of that sort?" So there was a division among them. Hence they said to the blind man again: "What do you say about him, seeing that he opened your eyes?" The [man] said: "He is a prophet." However, the Jews did not believe concerning him that he had been blind and had gained sight, until they called the parents of the man that gained sight. And they asked them: "Is this YOUR son who YOU say was born blind? His parents said these things because they were in fear of the Jews, for the Jews had already come to an agreement that, if anyone confessed him as Christ, he should get expelled from the synagogue. This is why his parents said: "He is of age. QUESTION him." "Give glory to God; we know that this man is a sinner." In turn he answered: "Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that, whereas I was blind, I see at present." Therefore they said to him: "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?"

He answered them: "I told YOU already, and yet YOU did not listen. Why do YOU want to hear it again? YOU do not want to become his disciples also, do YOU?"

At this they reviled him and said: "You are a disciple of that [man], but we are disciples of Moses. We know that God has spoken to Moses; but as for this [man], we do not know where he is from. "In answer the man said to them: "This certainly is a marvel, that YOU do not know where he is from, and yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does his will, he listens to this one. John 9:16-18,22,23,24-31

FAITH! does not take ear's to hear nor eyes to see.

The doorkeeper opens to this one, and the sheep listen to his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has got all his own out, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. A stranger they will by no means follow but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers." Jesus spoke this comparison to them; but they did not know what the things meant that he was speaking to them. Therefore Jesus said again: "Most truly I say to YOU, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:3-7

Having said these things, then Jesus went out with his disciples across the winter torrent of Kid´ron to where there was a garden, and he and his disciples entered into it.

How can anyone not defend our heavenly Father and His Son Jesus in truth is beyond me?

But YOU do not believe, because YOU are none of my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them everlasting life, and they will by no means ever be destroyed, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is something greater than all other things, and no one can snatch them out of the hand of the Father. I and the Father are one."

Does anyone know what I and My Father are one means?

Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him. Jesus replied to them: "I displayed to YOU many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are YOU stoning me?" The Jews answered him: "We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy, even because you, although being a man, make yourself a god." Jesus answered them: "Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: "YOU are gods"’?

Yes, pagans god's various trinities who were men and women at one time who had their slaves make stone idols of them before or after there deaths. In ancient times people called men Lord and kings and women queen's today even in England men are called Lord. The kings and queen's and Lord's of the nations'.

ONLY ONE GOD! and one Lord Jesus Christ!

The Scripture cannot be nullified, do YOU say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son? If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me. But if I am doing them, even though YOU do not believe me, believe the works, in order that YOU may come to know and may continue knowing that the Father is in union with me and I am in union with the Father." 10:26-38

Let's reason, for people who haven't got a clue, all religions are part of the Harlot that rides the beast. In Exodus God says to Moses did I not make you a God to Pharoah?

Well really what did God mean?

Surely Moses was a vessel of God. Did Pharoah see that? How many plagues did it take? Did Pharoah ever heed to Moses as a vessel of God? As many in the OT denied God, didn't heed His voice..they also denied when God sent..NT..His Son then they didn't heed his voice either. God knows whom are His!

Now Judas, his betrayer, also knew the place, because Jesus had many times met there with his disciples. Therefore Judas took the soldier band and officers of the chief priests and of the Pharisees and came there with torches and lamps and weapons. Jesus, therefore, knowing all the things coming upon him, went forth and said to them: "Whom are YOU looking for?" They answered him: "Jesus the Naz·a·rene´." He said to them: "I am [he]." Now Judas, his betrayer, was also standing with them. Then Simon Peter, as he had a sword, drew it and struck the slave of the high priest and cut his right ear off. The name of the slave was Malchus.

Jesus, however, said to Peter: "Put the sword into [its] sheath. The cup that the Father has given me, should I not by all means drink it?" Therefore Pilate came outside to them and said: "What accusation do YOU bring against this man?" In answer they said to him: "If this man were not a wrongdoer, we would not have delivered him up to you." Hence Pilate said to them: "Take him yourselves and judge him according to YOUR law." The Jews said to him: "It is not lawful for us to kill anyone." This, in order that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which he said to signify what sort of death he was destined to die. So Pilate entered into the governor’s palace again and called Jesus and said to him: "Are you the king of the Jews?"

Jesus answered: "Is it of your own originality that you say this, or did others tell you about me?" Pilate answered: "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you up to me. What did you do?"

No part of the world, what don't people understand today about what Jesus said?

Jesus answered: "My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source." Therefore Pilate said to him: "Well, then, are you a king?" Jesus answered: "You yourself are saying that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is on the side of the truth listens to my voice." John 18:1-5,10,11,29-37

Jesus' own people sold him killed him, they "didn't heed in faith", of him or His Father. John 18:38-40

Pilate said to him: "What is truth?" And after saying this, he went out again to the Jews and said to them: "I find no fault in him. Moreover, YOU have a custom that I should release a man to YOU at the passover. Do YOU, therefore, wish me to release to YOU the king of the Jews?" Then they shouted again, saying: "Not this man, but Bar·ab´bas!" Now Bar·ab´bas was a robber. Well the Jews sure voiced who they chose. Judgement begins first with the house of God, so what of US?

The Book of the Lamb

And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harps with their harps: These are the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. These are the ones that keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes. These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb, and no falsehood was found in their mouths; they are without blemish. saying in a loud voice: "FEAR God and give him glory, because the hour of the judgment by him has arrived, and so worship the One who made the heaven and the earth and sea and fountains of waters." And another angel, a third, followed them, saying in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the wild beast and its image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand, he will also drink of the wine of the anger of God that is poured out undiluted into the cup of his wrath, and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb.

And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever, and day and night they have no rest, those who worship the wild beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name. Those who acccept the mark will perish during the Great Tribulation.

HEED LISTEN!

Here is where it means endurance for the holy ones, those who observe the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." Re 14:1,2,4,5,7,9-12

Listen To My Voice!

The large jar of flour itself did not get exhausted, and the small jar of oil itself did not fail, according to Jehovah’s word that he had spoken by means of E·li´jah. And it came about after these things that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick, and his sickness came to be so severe that there was no breath left in him. At this she said to E·li´jah: "What do I have to do with you, O man of the [true] God? You have come to me to bring my error to mind and to put my son to death." But he said to her: "Give me your son." Then he took him from her bosom and carried him up to the roof chamber, where he was dwelling, and laid him upon his own couch. And he began calling to Jehovah and saying: "O Jehovah my God, is it also upon the widow with whom I am residing as an alien that you must bring injury by putting her son to death?" And he proceeded to stretch himself upon the child three times and call to Jehovah and say: "O Jehovah my God, please, cause the soul of this child to come back within him." Finally Jehovah listened to E·li´jah’s voice, so that the soul of the child came back within him and he came to life. E·li´jah now took the child and brought him down from the roof chamber into the house and gave him to his mother; and E·li´jah then said: "See, your son is alive." Upon that the woman said to E·li´jah: "Now, indeed, I do know that you are a man of God and that Jehovah’s word in your mouth is true." 1 Kings 17:16-24
But it said: "Go out, and you must stand on the mountain before Jehovah." And, look! Jehovah was passing by, and a great and strong wind was rending mountains and breaking crags before Jehovah. (Jehovah was not in the wind.) And after the wind there was a quaking. (Jehovah was not in the quaking.) And after the quaking there was a fire. (Jehovah was not in the fire.) And after the fire there was a calm, low voice. 1 Kings 19:11,12

The Bible to describes the Holy Spirit as an it. The wind, water, and fire were the most common. Water was the sign of the spirit that purifies: " I will sprinkle clean water upon you to cleanse you from all your impurities, and from all your idols I will cleanse you." Ezekiel 36:25

As a child of God, it is your basic right to communicate with Him. One essential part of that communication is listening. There are many, many ways to hear from Him, and listed below are just some more of them. :

"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." Psalm 83:18 KJV

That little voice sometimes we hear in our mind before we express a thought to me seems to say before you utter what's not wholesome my child heed that voice. "The Holy Scriptures Voice", The Breath of God His Holy Spirit". I don't believe that God our King, can't or won't or does not speak to us outside of the scriptures--certainly He does.

Did Adam and Eve heed God's voice?

And Jehovah God proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of E´den to cultivate it and to take care of it. And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: "From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die. "And Jehovah God went on to say: "It is not good for the man to continue by himself. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him."Hence Jehovah God had a deep sleep fall upon the man and, while he was sleeping, he took one of his ribs and then closed up the flesh over its place. And Jehovah God proceeded to build the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman and to bring her to the man. Genesis 2:15-18,2122

To the woman he said: "I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children, and your craving will be for your husband, and he will dominate you." And to Adam he said: "Because you listened to your wife’s voice and took to eating from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life. And thorns and thistles it will grow for you, and you must eat the vegetation of the field. In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return." Genesis 3:16-20. Adam and Eve's Consequence for disobeying God, was death, "they were never to grow old nor die", first pattern of not hearing God's voice.

If YOU do look for Jehovah your God from there, you will also certainly find him, because you will inquire for him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in sore straits and all these words have found you out at the close of the days, then you will have to return to Jehovah your God and to listen to his voice. For Jehovah your God is a merciful God. He will not desert you or bring you to ruin or forget the covenant of your forefathers that he swore to them. "Now ask, please, concerning the former days that occurred before you, from the day that God created man on the earth and from one end of the heavens clear to the other end of the heavens, Was any great thing brought about like this or was anything heard like it? Has any other people heard the voice of God speaking out of the middle of the fire the way you yourself have heard it, and kept on living? De 4:29-33

and your heart may indeed be lifted up and you may indeed forget Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves; who caused you to walk through the great and fear-inspiring wilderness, with poisonous serpents and scorpions and with thirsty ground that has no water; who brought forth water for you out of the flinty rock; who fed you with manna in the wilderness, which your fathers had not known, in order to humble you and in order to put you to the test so as to do you good in your afterdays; and you do say in your heart, ‘My own power and the full might of my own hand have made this wealth for me.’

And you must remember Jehovah your God, because he is the giver of power to you to make wealth; in order to carry out his covenant that he swore to your forefathers, as at this day. "And it must occur that if you should at all forget Jehovah your God and you should actually walk after other gods and serve them and bow down to them, I do bear witness against YOU today that YOU people will absolutely perish. Like the nations that Jehovah is destroying from before YOU, that is the way YOU will perish, because YOU will not listen to the voice of Jehovah YOUR God. De 8:14-20

Same pattern of Disobedience

As for the sons of Israel, they were mustered and supplied and began to go out to meet them; and the sons of Israel went into camp in front of them like two tiny flocks of goats, while the Syrians, for their part, filled the earth. Then the man of the [true] God approached and said to the king of Israel, yes, he went on to say: "This is what Jehovah has said, ‘For the reason that the Syrians have said: "Jehovah is a God of mountains, and he is not a God of low plains," I shall have to give all this great crowd into your hand, and YOU men will certainly know that I am Jehovah.’"

Israel went striking down the Syrians, a hundred thousand men on foot in one day. And those that were left went fleeing to A´phek, to the city; and the wall came falling down upon twenty-seven thousand men that were left. As for Ben-ha´dad, he fled and finally came into the city into the innermost chamber. So his servants said to him: "Here, now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are kings of loving-kindness. Oh they heard of these kings loving kindness, but did they not hear of God's loving kindness and mercy?

"Your servant Ben-ha´dad has said, ‘Please, let my soul live.’" To this he said: "Is he still alive? He is my brother." So the men themselves took itasan omen and quickly took it as a decision of his own accord, and they went on to say: "Ben-ha´dad is your brother." At that he said: "Come, fetch him." Then Ben-ha´dad went out to him; and he at once had him get up into the chariot. [Ben-ha´dad] now said to him: "The cities that my father took from your father I shall return; and streets you will assign to yourself in Damascus the same as my father assigned in Sa·mar´i·a." And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his friend by the word of Jehovah: "Strike me, please." But the man refused to strike him.

Therefore he said to him: "For the reason that you did not listen to the voice of Jehovah, here you are going away from me, and a lion will certainly strike you down." After that he went away from beside him, and the lion got to find him and strike him down. 1 Ki 20:27-35. Ben-hadad was as covetous as he was proud, and couldn't go away unless he had possessions as well as dominion. He thought it not enough to call it his, unless he had it all in his hands. He was spiteful as he was haughty. He was as unreasonable as he was unjust. These are descriptions of the character and action of Satan when he examines not only our physical homes but also our spiritual tabernacles.

Know you not you are temple of God?

Listen, YOU wise ones, to my words; And YOU who know, give ear to me. For the ear itself makes a test of words, Just as the palate tastes when eating. Although I behold nothing, instruct me yourself; If any unrighteousness I have committed, I shall not do [it] again’? Men of heart themselves will say to me—Even a wise able-bodied man that is listening to me, For on top of his sin he adds revolt; Among us he claps [his hands] and multiplies his sayings against the [true] God!" Job 34:2,3,32,34,37

The maned young lions themselves have had little on hand and gone hungry; But as for those seeking Jehovah, they will not lack anything good. Come, YOU sons, listen to me; The fear of Jehovah is what I shall teach YOU. The meek ones will certainly see [it]; they will rejoice. YOU who are seeking God, let YOUR heart also keep alive. For Jehovah is listening to the poor ones, And he will indeed not despise his very own prisoners. Let heaven and earth Praise him, The seas and everything moving about in them.

For God himself will save Zion And will build the cities of Judah; And they will certainly dwell there and take possession of it. And the offspring of his servants themselves will inherit it, And those loving his name will be the ones to reside in it. But my people has not listened to my voice; And Israel itself has not showed any willingness toward me. And so I let them go in the stubbornness of their heart; They went walking in their own counsels. Ps 34:10,11; 69:32-36; 81:11,12

The proverbs of Sol´o·mon the son of David, the king of Israel, for one to know wisdom and discipline, to discern the sayings of understanding, to receive the discipline that gives insight, righteousness and judgment and uprightness, to give to the inexperienced ones shrewdness, to a young man knowledge and thinking ability. A wise person will listen and take in more instruction, and a man of understanding is the one who acquires skillful direction, to understand a proverb and a puzzling saying, the words of wise persons and their riddles. The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge.

Wisdom and discipline are what mere fools have despised. Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother. For they are a wreath of attractiveness to your head and a fine necklace to your throat. Listen to discipline and become wise, and do not show any neglect. Happy are those listening to me by keeping awake at my doors day by day, by watching at the posts of my entrances. For the one finding me will certainly find life, and gets goodwill from Jehovah. But the one missing me is doing violence to their soul; all those intensely hating me are the ones that do love death." Pr 1:1-9; 8:33-36

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken: "Sons and Daughters I have brought up and raised, but they themselves have revolted against me. A bull well knows its buyer, and the ass the manger of its owner; Israel itself has not known, my own people have not behaved understandingly." Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU dictators of Sod´om. Give ear to the law of our God, YOU people of Go·mor´rah. "Of what benefit to me is the multitude of YOUR sacrifices?" says Jehovah. "I have had enough of whole burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed animals; and in the blood of young bulls and male lambs and he-goats I have taken no delight. YOUR new moons and YOUR festal seasons my soul has hated. To me they have become a burden; I have become tired of bearing [them]. And when YOU spread out YOUR palms, I hide my eyes from YOU.

Even though YOU make many prayers, I am not listening; with bloodshed YOUR very hands have become filled. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the badness of YOUR dealings from in front of my eyes; cease to do bad. Learn to do good; search for justice; set right the oppressor; render judgment for the fatherless boy; plead the cause of the widow." With justice Zion herself will be redeemed, and those returning of her, with righteousness. And the crash of revolters and that of sinful ones will be at the same time, and those leaving Jehovah will come to their finish. Isa 1:2,3,10,11,14-17,27,28

Hey there, all YOU thirsty ones! Come to the water. And the ones that have no money! Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk even without money and without price. Why do YOU people keep paying out money for what is not bread, and why is YOUR toil for what results in no satisfaction? Listen intently to me, and eat what is good, and let YOUR soul find its exquisite delight in fatness itself.

Incline YOUR ear and come to me. Listen, and YOUR soul will keep alive, and I shall readily conclude with YOU people an indefinitely lasting covenant respecting the loving-kindnesses to David that are faithful. Look! As a witness to the Gentile groups I have given him, as a leader and commander to the national groups. Look! A nation that you do not know you will call, and those of a nation who have not known you will run even to you, for the sake of Jehovah your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he will have beautified you. Search for Jehovah, YOU people, while he may be found. Call to him while he proves to be near.

Let the wicked man leave his way, and the harmful man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, who will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for he will forgive in a large way. "For the thoughts of YOU people are not my thoughts, nor are my ways YOUR ways," is the utterance of Jehovah. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than YOUR ways, and my thoughts than YOUR thoughts. For just as the pouring rain descends, and the snow, from the heavens and does not return to that place, unless it actually saturates the earth and makes it produce and sprout, and seed is actually given to the sower and bread to the eater, so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it. Isa 55:1-11

"‘Therefore, look! days are coming,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘when it will no more be said [to be] To´pheth and the valley of the son of Hin´nom, but the valley of the killing; and they will have to bury in To´pheth without there being enough place. And the dead bodies of this people must become food for the flying creatures of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth, with nobody to make [them] tremble. And I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the voice of exultation and the voice of rejoicing, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land will become nothing but a devastated place.’" For I solemnly admonished YOUR forefathers in the day of my bringing them up out of the land of Egypt and down to this day, rising up early and admonishing, saying: "Obey my voice." But they did not listen or incline their ear, but they kept walking each one in the stubbornness of their bad heart; and so I brought upon them all the words of this covenant that I commanded [them] to do, but that they did not do.’" Jer 7:32-34; 11:7,8

For, look! in those days and in that time, when I shall bring back the captive ones of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also collect together all the nations and bring them down to the low plain of Je·hosh´a·phat; and I will put myself on judgment with them there on account of my people and my inheritance Israel. And for my people they kept casting lots; and they would give the male child for a prostitute, and the female child they sold for wine, that they might drink.

THRUST in a sickle, for harvest has grown ripe. Come, descend, for [the] winepress has become full. The press vats actually overflow; for their badness has become abundant. Crowds, crowds are in the low plain of the decision, for the day of Jehovah is near in the low plain of the decision. Sun and moon themselves will certainly become dark, and the very stars will actually withdraw their brightness. And out of Zion Jehovah himself will roar, and out of Jerusalem he will give forth his voice. And heaven and earth certainly will rock; but Jehovah will be a refuge for his people, and a fortress for the sons of Israel. And YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah YOUR God, residing in Zion my holy mountain. And Jerusalem must become a holy place; and as regards strangers, they will no more pass through her. Joe 3:1-3,13-17

Therefore over YOU [the] heavens kept back [their] dew, and the earth itself kept back its yield. And I kept calling for dryness upon the earth, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon what the ground would bring forth, and upon earthling man, and upon domestic animal, and upon all the toil of [the] hands.’" And Ze·rub´ba·bel the son of She·al´ti·el, and Joshua the son of Je·hoz´a·dak the high priest, and all the remaining ones of the people began to listen to the voice of Jehovah their God, and to the words of Hag´gai the prophet, as Jehovah their God had sent him; and the people began to fear because of Jehovah.

"‘But now, please, set YOUR heart [on this] from this day and forward, before there was the placing of a stone upon a stone in the temple of Jehovah, from when those things happened to be—one came to a heap of twenty [measures], and it proved to be ten; one came to the press vat to draw off fifty [measures] of the wine trough, and it proved to be twenty; I struck YOU people with scorching and with mildew and with hail, even all the work of YOUR hands, and there was no one with YOU [turning] to me,’ is the utterance of Jehovah.

"‘Set YOUR heart, please, [on this] from this day and forward, from the twenty-fourth [day] of the ninth [month], from the day that the foundation of the temple of Jehovah was laid; set YOUR heart [on this]: "‘In that day,’ is the utterance of Jehovah of armies, ‘I shall take you, O Ze·rub´ba·bel the son of She·al´ti·el, my servant,’ is the utterance of Jehovah; ‘and I shall certainly set you as a seal ring, because you are the one whom I have chosen,’ is the utterance of Jehovah of armies." Hag 1:10-12; 2:15-18,23

"Look! I am sending my messenger, and he must clear up a way before me. And suddenly there will come to His temple the [true] Lord, whom YOU people are seeking, and the messenger of the new covenant in whom YOU are delighting. Look! He will certainly come," Jehovah of armies has said.

Jesus' 1st coming, sent by God

"But who will be putting up with the day of his coming, and who will be the one standing when he appears? For he will be like the fire of a refiner and like the lye of laundrymen. And he must sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and must cleanse the sons of Le´vi; and he must clarify them like gold and like silver, and they will certainly become to Jehovah people presenting a gift offering in righteousness. And the gift offering of Judah and of Jerusalem will actually be gratifying to Jehovah, as in the days of long ago and as in the years of antiquity. YOU have said, ‘It is of no value to serve God. And what profit is there in that we have kept the obligation to him, and that we have walked dejectedly on account of Jehovah of armies.

And at present we are pronouncing presumptuous people happy. Also, the doers of wickedness have been built up. Also, they have tested God out and keep getting away.? "At that time those in fear of Jehovah spoke with one another, each one with his companion, and Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance began to be written up before him for those in fear of Jehovah and for those thinking upon his name.

The Book of Life

"And they will certainly become mine," Jehovah of armies has said, "at the day when I am producing a special property. And I will show compassion upon them, just as a man shows compassion upon his son who is serving him. And YOU people will again certainly see [the distinction] between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him." Mal 3:1-4,14-18
